Syrian media, Faysal Al-Qassim, ridiculed Wednesday the defeat of the United Arab Emirates against Qatar at the 2019 Asian Cup.
Al-Qassim said in a tweet via his Twitter account: "The UAE has closed all their sea, air and land gates against the Qataris, but they have opened their doors to Qatari players so that they will enter 4x4s."
The Qatari team defeated its UAE counterpart in the Asian Cup semi-finals at the Mohammed bin Zayed stadium on Tuesday night with no Qatari quartet response.
Qatar should face Japan on Friday in the final.
Relations between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates are tense since Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt broke off diplomatic relations with Qatar on June 5, 2017, affirming their support for terrorism, which Doha denies, accusing the Quartet of wanting to impose its national decision.
