The actress, Aida Riad, blew up what some saw as a surprise regarding her marriage to a Muslim, who is Christian.
“Riyadh,” who has garnered remarkable interest in recent days because of her claims that she is a Christian but refuses to offend Islam, said many children in her family have been married off to Muslims.
She also expressed satisfaction with the public’s interest in her and said she was also “happy that many people did not know that she was a Christian”.
About her marriage to the late artist Muharram Fouad, she said: “Most of my family got married to Muslims, and I see this very normal. I married Muharram Fuad and my sister Hassan Shehata and have gave birth to Karim and to Islam.
