Mohamed Faraj Amer, chairman of the Smouha club's board of directors, said that the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, had confided to him that it was difficult to finish the current season of the league Egyptian.

In statements on Radio Sport FM, Amer said he saw the difficulty of finishing the competition too, with the 2019 Nations Africa Cup in June.

"The Minister of Youth and Sports has said that the current season of the league is hard to finish."

He added: "We want to finish the competition but the reality is that the league could not be completed because of the Ahli and Pyramids game and other deferred matches".

"The Africa Cup of Nations will be held in June and it will be difficult to play the final phases of the tournament before it starts."

The remarks of the president of Smouha, despite the confirmation of the Minister of Sports in previous televised conversations on its coordination with the Egyptian Football Federation to avoid any attack on the future of the league.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt has won the honor of hosting the 2019 African Nations Cup, while the last 13 rounds of Egyptian Championship life are added to the deferred clashes of several clubs.
