FIFA announced the names of three candidates on the list of the best player in the world for 2019.
The trio included Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi (Argentina) and Van Dijk (Netherlands).
The trio was previously in the European footballer of the year award, which Van Dyke recently crowned.
