The last fight for Conor ended in a defeat against Russian Habib Normadov last October, his first defeat in two years.
"Since his first participation in the mixed martial arts game in 2007, he has established himself as one of the best fighters of the game," said the BBC.
McGregor won the world featherweight and featherweight championships to become the first to bring them together.
