Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Hossam Mido believes his team deserved two shots against Zamalek.
Zamalek defeated Egypt 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the Egyptian Cup at Borg El Arab.
"We knew how tough the game was, especially as we are facing a big team like Zamalek," Mido told the press conference.
"Zamalek on the physical plane is better than us because of the cohesion of the seasons for him and to be able to play more than one match before we face each other."
"After the start of the match, Zamalek was hit by the rush and confusion that hit some players, but in the second half, the performances were improved.
"I pushed striker Amr Mari instead of Salah Amin to activate the attack and we had four chances to score," he said.
"The referee did not impose two penalties on us, but we should not be too far away from the referees' performance," he said.
He concluded by saying: "The compensation is about to improve, we will tackle the disadvantages and focus on the positive aspects of the Zamalek game."
