Ahmed Mujahid, a member of the governing body of the Football Association and his spokesperson, said preparations for the 2019 African Nations Championship were under way in all the stadia selected to host the tournament, in especially the Cairo stadium.

The official spokesman for the Football Federation said the Cairo stadium would be completed in a few weeks before the tournament, where it was completely renovated.
For his part, Ahmed Mujahid explained that the meeting of the board of directors of the Union, which will be held on Saturday, is a meeting planned in advance because the Union meets on the first Saturday of each month.
Mujahid concluded that the meeting was not aimed at discussing the Premier League crisis in recent days, as some might think, but at a monthly meeting of the union to discuss issues presented to the board of directors, including preparations for the organization of the African Nations Championship.
