The chairman of the competition committee, Amer Hussein, announced the postponement of the match between Ismaili and entrepreneurs, scheduled for Wednesday.
Ismaili was scheduled to meet the contractors on Wednesday in Ismailia, during the postponed meeting of the ninth round of the Egyptian league.
"It's hard to play Wednesday in Ismailia because of the Zayed marathon," Amer Hussein told On-Sport.
"Security also refused to hold the Ismaili and Zamalek match on January 1," he added.
"It will be difficult to postpone the Ismaili and Zamalek match on January 2nd because the latter will play another league game on the 5th of the same month."
"So it will be the closest match for Ismaili and the contractors on January 2nd, but in Cairo it will be the match for entrepreneurs instead of the dervishes," said Amer Hussein.
"The subcontractors agreed to postpone the match but asked if a later date would be set for them in Cairo," he said.
"Tomorrow, the committee will announce the deadlines for the postponed matches," he said.
