Martine Lassarte, the Uruguayan coach of the club, arrived at club headquarters before officially signing the red team.
An official source within the Al Ahli club said in statements to FilGoal.com Lassarti will meet Mahmoud al-Khatib, president of the club, to discuss financial issues and the formation of an auxiliary body.
"He will also discuss reports on the team, players and table of team competitions in Africa and in the league."
The source, who declined to be named, said: "It is possible that the new coach inspects the headquarters of the football team and sees Al Ahli's abilities in terms of physical preparation."
"Lassarti will sign a one and a half year contract with Al Ahly and will formally take the lead after the return match against Ethiopian Gema Abe Guevara.

Born to a Uruguayan mother and a Spanish father of Basque origin, Lasarte has been a defender of several Uruguayan clubs, including Club Nacional, winner of the Copa Libertadores in 1988.
Lesarte also played with Deportivo La Coruna and brought the team back to the Primera Liga and saved it from relegation the following season, raising the bar for more than one game.
Lasarte 's career, started 35 years ago, started with Rambla, who took him to second place at the Klausora stage in 1996. He also led Al Wasl to fifth place in 2002 after taking the team to the last place.
