The pyramids returned to the Egyptian championship after a period of absence from the match and won a 2-0 victory over Petrojet in the 27th round of the competition.
Pyramids has not played in a league game for 35 days, the same day they beat the subcontractors on February 24th.
The pyramids failed to reach Petrojet in the first period, despite control over most of the game.
Until the solution was found, substitute Eric Traoré scored the first goal in the 64th minute after a center from Christian Benavente.
Traoré added the second goal in the 67th minute with another header after a center from Omar Jaber.
Omar Khairin, the Pyramids striker, missed the match because of his Syrian team's injury return and did not play any match with the team.
With this result, Pyramids reached point 51 in the third place of the Egyptian league table, at a point of Ahli, second place, 3 points from the leaders of Zamalek, but played two more games than the poles.
While Petrojet is stuck in point 25, he is in 15th place.
