Ahli's board of directors decided to launch the name of former club president, Hassan Hamdi, in the main meeting room of the Nasr City club branch.
This decision was taken at the meeting of Ahli's Board of Directors.
Al-Ahli said in a statement that this decision was part of the consolidation of the values and principles of the club in recognition of Hassan Hamdi's tender offer and his long journey in the interior of the Red Castle, which continued for 42 years.
Hassan Hamdi took over from Ahli's presidency from 2002 to 2014.

The approval of the inauguration of the AlAhli Open Squash Championship held March 14th to 26th, as well as the participation of the water polo team in the Arab Championship in Kuwait from the 28th. February to March 7th.
Approval of swimmer Ahmed Zaki's support for the Olympic Champions program for the establishment of a pool training camp in America.
Approve the creation of an internal camp for the men's handball team, at the request of Slovenian coach Nikola Markovic, as part of its program to improve the technical and physical level of the team 39; team.
Adopting the decision of Captain Mahmoud Khatib, President of the Club and Commissioner for the Management of Football Affairs, to form a medical committee composed of experienced professors to put in place a scientific mechanism to combat the spectrum of injuries, led by the Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Yasser El Meligy and Ahmed Khalif.
