Simba of Tanzania came up with a big surprise in the first round of the African Champions League, winning over Congolese rival Vita Club.
Simba beat the Vita Club with an unanswered goal.
The only goal of the match was scored by Chris Mugalo in the 61st minute, from a penalty awarded to the Tanzanian team.
This is the first time that Simba has won a victory over the Vita Club in Congo.
The two teams have met twice before, in which they traded home victory.
With this result, Simba leads Group A with a three-point lead, while Vita Club is fourth and last.
Al-Ahly and Al-Merreikh are due to meet with the other two parts of the group next Tuesday in Cairo.
In the second round, Simba will host his opponent Al-Ahly on February 23 at the Dar Al Salaam National Stadium in Tanzania.
While Vita Club will be a guest on the Sudanese March.
