FilGoal | News Belgium coach: I would have included Naingolan if we allowed him to involve 12 players in the field

The Belgian coach, Roberto Martinez, answered repeated questions about not including Radga Nyingolan in the World Cup team. He would have done so had he been allowed to involve 12 players.

Naingolan pulled out of the accounts of the Belgian coach before finally stepping out of the World Cup team, who then announced his retirement from international football in reaction to that decision.

Noingolan's decision did not affect the Belgian team that qualified for the semi-finals of the World Cup.

"It would be easy for me if you chose the names," said Martinez to defend his decision on a Belgian site.

"I came to Belgium for success, so I do not look at the names of the players, but just what serves the team and the thinking."

"These are difficult decisions, but that's why I'm here and I'm doing what I think is appropriate," he said.

"For Ningolan, the reason is technical – I can not give the player a role in my plan like what he does in his club."

"If I could play with 12 players in the field, I would have joined at that time."
