Arsenal goaltender Peter Chuck has announced his intention to retire at the end of the season.
"This is my 20th season as a professional player, so the time seems propitious for the announcement of my retirement at the end of this season," said the Czech goalkeeper on his Twitter account.
"I have played for 15 years in the Premier League and I have won every possible title, and I think I have achieved everything that can be accomplished."
"I will continue to work hard with Arsenal and I hope to win another award this season, and then look forward to seeing how my life will be away from the field."
The 36-year-old player came to England for the first time playing in Stade Rennais in Chelsea in the summer of 2004 for a fee of 13 million euros. He wore the London jersey in 494 appearances, scoring 393 goals and leading 228 matches.
From 2004 to 2015, the Czech star has won the English Premier League four times, the FA Cup four times, the League Cup three times, the charity shield twice, the Champions League and the European League.
Chuck joined Arsenal in the summer of 2015 with 14 million euros and played in the formation of 129 games in which he conceded 144 goals and collected 50 goals.
The Czech star crowned Arsenal with the title of the FA Cup and the shield of charity twice.
Chuck has played for the Czech Republic since February 2002 and has participated in 124 international appearances with 73 goals and 37 goals.
In terms of individual awards, the Czech international was named UEFA 's under – 21 player in 2002 and was chosen to be part of the Champions League in 2004. He has also won the gold glove of the English Premier League four times.
