Salif Coulibaly was close to the Iraqi police, but negotiations were halted and the financial actor became close to the Saudi conquest.
Sayed Abdel Hafiz, Ahli's football coach, has revealed to FilGoal.com the club's agreement allowing him to join the international police defender for six months.
But it seems that things have not gone as planned and Coulibaly spoke to FilGoal.com and explained his new position.
"I am waiting for the transfer to the Saudi club of Al Fath, the Saudi league is a strong league and ready to live this experience," Salif said.
"I am ready to participate in this experience after the break-up of negotiations to leave the Iraqi police team."
He concluded "wait for the end of negotiations and agreement on all things".
Ahli, 30, joined last summer a free transfer.
The Malian defender played 22 games for Red Bull, the last to beat the Vita Club 2-0 at the opening of the African Champions League.
