Sameer Halabia, head of Egyptian club Al-Borseidi, thanked new coach Ihab Galal for assuming his responsibilities before the agreed date.
Ehab Galal officially took control of Egypt's Al Borceidi as the successor to Mimi Abdul Razek and Mustafa Younis, after leading the team for short periods.
"We continued with Ehab Galal after the departure of Mimi Abdul Razek and he decided to follow the African defeat because of the circumstances in which the team is located," Halabia told Sport Sunday.
Al-Masri was down 2-0 at home against Salitas Alborkini in the first round of the Confederation of 32.
"Ihab Jalal is the son of the club, he has already played with us, he knows the taste of playing at Port Said and playing in the stadium of Port Said, life and the masses here realize the value of all this. "
"I thank him because he came before the agreed date, I also thank Mimi Abdel Razek and Mustafa Younis for the heavy burden they carry."
Al-Masri is in a very bad season, scoring 17 points in 14 games, finishing 11th in the Egyptian rankings.
