Ahmed Fattouh vs. Hamdi Al-Naqaz in Espérance vs Zamalek match – Zamalek official website
Hamada Anwar, a former Zamalek board member, revealed that the dissolution of the board has been postponed due to the results and is waiting until after the CAF Champions League final.
Zamalek’s board of directors, headed by Mortada Mansour, had been dissolved and a temporary tripartite committee was appointed until investigations into the board’s violations were completed.
Hamada Anwar said on Al-Shams TV: “There were signs of the dissolution of the Zamalek administration in the run-up to the Raja game.”
He explained: “The decision was there, but it was postponed until after the final due to the results and the qualification of the team.”
Speaking of late player dues, he said: “There is a 25% rate which is determined based on participations and is disbursed at the end of the season and the board has left before that date.”
He continued: “Maybe there is a payment or two late, but the Corona pandemic has caused a financial crisis for all clubs.”
On Hamdi Al-Naqaz’s position, Anwar revealed: “His position is different from the arrears. The player received a letter from the club stating that he would receive his membership fee every month.”
And he underlined: “Although he receives 4 payments per year, there was certainly an error of the administrative apparatus at the time”.
Anwar admitted: “It was a mistake of course, because when he had not received his salary for two months, he requested termination of his contract even though he received his contributions every three months.”
He concluded his remarks, “Al-Naqaz took advantage of the administrative error and canceled his contract. He knew what he was doing right.”
