Argentina hosted the competition in Group D of the 2019 Handball World Cup with a 25-25 win over Hungary on Friday.
The Qatar team had fallen to Angola during a first surprise tournament to ignite the group since the first match.
The group includes four teams from Egypt and Sweden, who will meet at 9:30 pm on Friday.
Argentina was retained in the first half 10-13 before the Tangos came back in the second half and progressed until the last minutes.
The match ends with a draw to score each point.
Angola leads the group temporarily before the match against Egypt and Sweden, followed by Argentina and Hungary.
In the second round Sunday, Argentina will meet Sweden while Hungary will face Angola.
