Hany Abu Reda, president of the Egyptian Football Federation, pointed out that there was no intention to cancel the league championship or the Egyptian Cup this season.
He revealed that Egypt was ready to host the Africa Cup of Nations this summer, noting that preparations were proceeding well.
"There is no intention to cancel my league or cup competition this season," said Abu Reda during his address to the Koura program every day.
"The preparations for the African nations are going well and that will not stop us from finishing the league and cup competitions," said Abu Reda.
Abu Reda explained that "the decision to postpone African nations for a week, although the decision of the African Union, was in our favor," Abu Reda said.
"This gives us enough time to prepare for the tournament after the end of Ramadan," he said.
Abu Reda said about the exclusion of the stadium of Port Said: "Indeed, the stadium of Port Said has left the accounts hosting the matches of African nations.
The president of the Egyptian Football Federation concluded his remarks "The Peace Stadium has again entered the accounts after the exclusion of the stadium of Port Said."
