Mourinho attended a football match in the Portuguese city of Setubal, his hometown.
With the exception of his son, the Santa Clara team beat Vitoria Setubal 2-0 in the Portuguese league.
Fans were eager to take pictures with Mourinho.
Manchester United beat Cardiff City 5-1 in their first match under the direction of Ole Gunnar Solshire, who took over after Mourinho left.
