After a disappointing half-season with Chelsea, Alvaro Murata settled in the city where he was from, but in his other club.
Atletico Madrid have announced the signing of Murata, loaned by Chelsea for a season and a half, after a similar period with Chelsea who scored 24 goals in 72 games.
"I'm happy and proud because I'm here, I'm looking forward to starting the training, meeting my teammates and participating in matches," said Murata in an official statement released by Atletico.
Murata spent four years at Atletico, but he appeared at Real Madrid some time ago with Juventus and another return to Real Madrid, before settling in Chelsea.
In total, the 26-year-old scored 82 goals with all the teams for which he played, as well as 13 goals in 27 appearances for Spain.
The departure of Morata comes from Chelsea, after the inclusion of AC Milan by Gonzalo Eguaion.
