Al Ahly and Zamalek missed the general assembly of the football federation, which is currently being held in a city hotel on 6 October.
A total of 152 clubs attended the General Assembly to complete the quorum, which required only 112 clubs.
Al Ahli – who announced in a previous statement his boycott of the meetings of the Football Federation – and Zamalek, did not send delegates to the General Assembly.
What does the General Assembly discuss?
** Abolish the eight-year term preceding the elections. If the amendment is rejected, four members will not be eligible for the next elections: Ahmed Mujahid, Khaled Latif, Saif Zaher and Issam Abdel-Fattah.
** Modify the electoral system to be a candidate for the list system and not for the individual system such as what is currently recognized.
** Modification of the system of ups and downs in the second and third classes. Now in the second class, there are three groups, each with 14 teams.
The new system stipulates that the group comprises 12 teams, with four teams at the end of the season in the third degree and the rise of six others.
The amendment came after the clubs had refused to form the second division of a single group, such as the Premier League system, because the material cost would be high for them in the movements.
