Issam Abdel Fattah, chairman of the referees committee of the Egyptian Football Federation, announced the application of video refereeing technique to matches of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Egypt from the quarter-finals.
"The video settlement will be applied to the Africa Cup of Nations from the quarterfinals," Abdel Fattah told Watch Sport-Schubert's On Sports FM broadcast.
"The use of the semi-finals can be delayed and the technology is present both in the semifinals and in the final."
"But it is certain that the technology will be applied."
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) applied the video technique in the two finals of the Champions League last season.
