Bayern Munich has agreed to pay 85 million euros to the Atletico Madrid defender, Lucas Hernandez, during the winter transfer period.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", Bayern has decided to include the French defender in the club's project to build a strong team for the competition.
Although Lucas has signed contracts to renew his contract with Atletico recently until 2024, the considerable amount that Bayern has put in place may cause the German club to accept the player's departure.
Bayern suffer this season from the absence of a separate opponent to replace the Austrian David Alba, as well as for the heart of the defense.
Lucas Hernandez, 22, was one of the winners of the 2018 World Cup in France.
Hernández plays at the center of his defense with Atletico and his left-back with France.
Lucas has played 17 times this season with Atletico in various competitions.
