The African Football Confederation (CAF) is seriously considering launching a similar tournament for the European League. The final decision was made this week at a meeting in Cairo.

The European Football Association (UEFA) has introduced the UEFA Champions League this season by dividing the teams into different levels.

A Moroccan report on the site (Morocco World News) according to which the meeting of the African Union of December 28 in Cairo will decide to launch the tournament or not.

The Moroccan reports that the tournament will be divided into four levels, the first will have 12 teams from the rest of the three levels in each of the eight teams.

The report noted that the African League matches nations after the Africa Nations in the summer of 2019 and more specifically in August and for two years.

The four levels of the League of Nations will be:

first level:

Senegal, Tunisia, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Cape Verde, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Democratic Republic of Congo

the second level:

Ivory Coast – Guinea – South Africa – Zambia – Uganda – Congo – Gabon – Benin

Level 3:

Angola – Guinea Bissau – Madagascar – Mauritania – Niger – Togo – Zimbabwe – Kenya

Level 4:

Tanzania – Comoros – Seychelles – Libya – Malawi – Ethiopia – Liberia – Sierra Leone
