The Egyptian Football Federation has set in mid-April the deadline for the draw of the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt next summer.
FilGoal.com has learned from the source of the Football Federation that it has sent an official letter to CAF informing it of the date of the preliminary draw, provided that this date is agreed in the next hours .
In the coming days, lots and other details will be determined before inviting representatives from the 23 participating teams.
The names of all teams participating in the tournament will be determined after the last qualifying round in March.
Egypt won the 2019 African Nations Cup after competing with South Africa after the tournament's withdrawal from Cameroon.
It was the fifth time that Egypt was organizing the Africa Cup of Nations, the 1959 edition and the title that year, as well as the 1974 edition. Zaire won the title, the 1986 edition and Egypt title.
Egypt officially became the first country to host the tournament with its new system, which will be held for the first time in the summer of June 15 to July 13.
