The organizing committee of the African Nations Championship has decided to choose the air defense ground to be part of the stadiums in Egypt instead of the Stadium of peace.
"The stability of the air defense stage has been settled in the stadiums because it is the only stage ready at 100% at the present time and which does not require any repair or equipment," said a source on FilGoal .com.
"The air defense stadium is ready in every respect and the AU committee charged with monitoring the championship has shown great admiration for the stadium," said the source, who declined to be named.
"The announcement of this decision will be made at the meeting of the organizing committee of the championship with the African Union during which will be formally unveiled all the stadiums of the championship."
Egypt will host the African Nations Championship from June 21st to July 19th.
It should be announced that 6 stadiums will be organized to host the tournament, of which 8 are Cairo, Peace, Air Defense, Ismailia, Suez, Port Said, Alexandria and Max.
