The Tunisian Football Federation announced the entry into force of the decision to consider North African players as locals, starting on the 19th of this month.
"The players of North Africa (Egypt – Algeria – Morocco – Libya) will be considered as local players from December 19th," said Friday the Tunisian federation.
"This law will apply only to the clubs of the first professional league – the Premier League – and will not apply to the goalkeeper."
The Tunisian Football Confederation met on Friday in the presence of Wadih al-Jarrah, president of the federation, before announcing the decision to consider North African players as locals.
The North African Union issued a resolution allowing the free movement of players between Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria, with the adoption of the resolution and the its subsequent implementation. (See details)
Magdy Abdel Ghani, a member of the Egyptian Football Federation, revealed earlier not to discuss the Egyptian Federation's decision of this final decision, stating that "will not be considered a North African player as a local player in Egypt" ".
