Bayern Munich boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said the main standings against Liverpool will be between defender David Alba and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
Bayern is the guest of Liverpool for the knockout rounds of the Champions League on Tuesday.
"I fully trust David Alba, he is one of the best supporters in the world in the world," Rummenigge told Bild newspaper on Wednesday.
"I think he can deal with Salah and control him," he added.
"It will be important to play well at Anfield, and we have a positive result, or at least a record, to help us qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League."
Liverpool lead the Premier League with Manchester City with 65 points before the 12 rounds at the end of the season, the Reds played one game less.
Bayern and Bundesliga are five points behind leader Borussia Dortmund.
