The professional squash association announced its March ranking, allowing Egypt to take the lead.
Ali Faraj took the lead for the first time and Mohammed Al-Shorbagi took second place after 40 months, becoming the first Egyptian player to continue throughout this period.
On the women's side, Renem Al-Waili held the lead for the third month and Noor Al-Sherini was in second place and Noor Al Tayeb climbed to third place.
Al-Shorbagi and Arnhem Al-Waili defend their title with pure Egyptian matches against Tariq Momen and Noor Al Tayeb, respectively, at the World Championships in Chicago to secure the finals in Egypt.
Ali Faraj has qualified as the third Egyptian semi-finalist against German winner Simon Rosner and Indian Surav Gusal.
Noor Sherbini beat Wales's Tesni Evans to face France's Camille Sirm in the semifinals.
The semi-finals will be played at 1 pm against Renem Al-Waili against his colleague Nour Al-Tayeb.
