For the third year in a row, Egyptian champions dominated the men's and women's squash world championships with the victory of Faraj and Noor Al Sherbini.
Ali Faraj, the player of the Tiger Valley, managed to win his first world championship title after defeating Tarek Mo'men 3-1 (11-5, 11-13, 13-11, 11-3 ) in a 73 minute match.
Ali Faraj won the tenth title in Egypt's history at the World Squash Championships, ranking second behind Pakistan, who won the title 14 times.
On the women's side, Egypt won the fourth title in history, the fourth consecutive victory of Sporting player Nour al-Sherbini.
Noor Al Sherbini won the title for the third time in his history after defeating teammate Noor Al Tayeb 3-1 (11-6, 11-5, 10-12, 15-13) in a 57-minute match.
Noor al-Sherbini became the youngest player to win the world title three times. The 23-year-old is the fifth player to win the title for the third time.
