FIFA has announced a suspension suspension of Zambian football legend Kalusha Boulia, a member of the African Union's executive board.

FIFA announced in August that Boualia had suspended all football activity for two years as part of the investigation into the suspension of AFC President Mohamed Ben Hammam on the grounds that he had accepted a gift, in violation of the International Federation's ethical charter.

Boualia was Africa's best player in 1988 in investigation, denial and appeal proceedings.

Indeed, FIFA announced Monday that its appeal board had decided to limit itself to Boualia, suspended since August until now, the fine being reduced from 100,000 to 10,000 Swiss francs.

Boualia said he was "happy to resume the game" and thanked those who supported him.

Boualia, former Zambian president, has withdrawn from his candidacy to the KAF leadership because of suspension.
