Xavi Hernandez's expectations have been confirmed by Barcelona legend and Qatar's Al Sadd. Qatar and Japan have qualified for the final of the 2019 Asian Cup.
Qatar has qualified for the first time in its history in the final of the Asian Cup, after a nice win over the United Arab Emirates who are organizing the tournament 4-0.
The Qatari team beat Japan in the final on Friday, after the Samurai overtook Iran by three.
And it remains a step to reach all the expectations of Xavi, the Spanish star to crown Qatar at the expense of Japan.
Xavi's expectations, a month ago of the tournament, sparked controversy at the time, with Qatar not qualifying for the semi-finals of the championship before.
"I know the Qatar players well and the potential of the technical team," said Xavi. "If Qatar has passed the quarterfinals, it will disappear because it has the potential and talent of other teams."
"Qatar are capable of winning the Cup, but they have to trust the abilities of their players."
