Tariq Al-Sheikh, chairman of the Saudi entertainment organization, is optimistic about the future of the pyramids after John Sivuents joined the Cattolica team in Ecuador.
"I'm going to call the death train," wrote Al-Sheikh on Facebook.
The 26-year-old Ecuadorian striker moved to Pyramids to begin his career with the team in January.
The Brazilian Carlos Eduardo left Pyramides to settle in Palmeiras, while the Egyptian club signed with Amr Mari and Erik Traoré of Burkina Faso.
Pyramides backed the club in hopes of continuing to compete vigorously in the league and cup for Egypt this season.
The team, led by Brigadier General Hossam Hassan, is second in the standings, eight points behind leaders Zamalek.
The team is gearing up for a tough match on Friday when Al Ahly organizers will receive the defending champions.
