Mohammed al-Nini is no longer just a target for the Turkish hero, according to a newspaper Gunes Fenerbahce negotiates with Arsenal in hopes of signing a midfielder.
The Turkish newspaper pointed out that Fenerbahce had failed to convince Marseille to give up its Brazilian Luis Gustavo. He therefore decided to turn to midfielder Arsenal, 27 years old.
The fate of former Arab subcontractors is still unknown at Arsenal and the London club is looking for a suitable offer to give up its player before the closure of the transfer market on 2 September.
The Turkish TRT said earlier that the Galatasaray champions were considering Neni, who had been ruled out of calculations by Arsenal coach Unai Emery. (Details)
Al-Nene did only 17 artillery appearances last season and only managed one decisive pass.
Al-Nene has trouble playing for Arsenal. Emery has four players: Matteo Gendozi, Danny Sibaius, Lucas Torrera and Grant Jaca.
El-Nene was a key player for Egypt at the 2019 Africa Cup, which the Pharaohs left out of the final with a 1-0 defeat against South Africa.
