Bayern Munich beat Benfica 5-0 in a match on Tuesday.
Bayern hosted its Portuguese rivals at the Allianz Arena in the fifth round of the Group E Champions League.
Bayern increased its points to 13 points, placing them two points behind Ajax Amsterdam.
Benfica has four points to qualify for the European Championships, AEK Athens ranking fourth without a point.
Arjen Robben opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a left foot shot.

Six minutes later, Robert Levandowski scored the third goal of the Bavarian team.
