Al-Nasr (Saudi Arabia) defeated Qatar Al-Sadd 2-1 at King Fahd International Stadium in the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League.
Al Sadd first took the lead of Ali Asad, before Abdul Rahman Al Dosari equalized for the win, followed by his colleague Juliano Victor with a second goal.
The decision will be postponed to face the return to Doha's Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on September 16th.
Al Sadd will be enough to win 1-0 to reach the semi-finals, while Al Nasr must win or draw, or lose by a goal difference provided the player has scored at least two goals.
Ali Asad opened the scoring for Al Sadd in the 21st minute with a superb rocket from inside.
However, Al Nasr, who was playing without his top scorer Abdul Razzaq Hamadallah, who was out for injury, was able to return to the match and equalize just before the end of the first half.
Wu Yang-jung of Korea's Al-Sadd failed to clear a corner and hit Abdul Rahman Al-Dosari, who tied in the 43rd minute.
The Brazilian Victor then took the lead in the 72nd minute.
Al Sadd has secured his qualification for the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar as the Qatar champion, and the world victory awaits a new appearance at the Club World Cup after the 2000 edition.
