West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice spoke of his team's success in preventing Mohamed Salah and Roberto Fermino from attacking Liverpool.

Liverpool is tied with West Ham with a goal for each team at an exciting summit on the 25th round of the English Premier League, the Reds' second draw. (See details)

"I think you can see that Fermino and Salah were frustrated because they could not get into the penalty box," Rice told the club's website.

"Salah and Ferdinando went to both sides of the field to free the attacker from the penalty area, so we thwarted their game plan and went out with a point."

West Ham has played against the Big Six this season beating Manchester United and Arsenal and tied with Chelsea and Liverpool.

"In front of the first six players, it was difficult for them to play against us when they came here," he said.

"We have an excellent team and there is no reason for us not to finish seventh – it should be our goal by the end of the season."
