Manchester United has officially announced the contract renewal of midfielder Ashley Young until the end of 2020.
"Ashley Young has signed a one-year contract with Manchester United, congratulations, Young," the club said in a statement posted on Twitter.
According to previous information, coach Uli Junar Solshir was eager to retain Jung's services and not to leave because he was a former guard and his value was very important to him at the moment.
The 33-year-old managed to beat his team-mate Antonio Valencia and hold the right-back position. He has also succeeded Luc Chau as a left-back last season and this season as well.
Young is the sixth Manchester United player to renew after Luke Shao, Chris Smoling, Scott McCutomainay, Anthony Marcial and Phil Jones.
Young joined Manchester United from Aston Villa in the summer of 2011 for an amount of 18 million euros.
England played 227 games in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and 42 more.
