Pacamani Mashambi, the Sun team, expressed his aspiration to face Ahli in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League.
The draw drew Al Ahly against the Suns in the quarterfinals, with the first leg in South Africa on April 5 or 6 and the return to Egypt on the 12th or 13th of the same month.
Bakamani left South West Africa to travel to Ahli for a summer 2017 season before moving on to Sunwards last season.
"Of course, I'm looking forward to facing Ahli in the round of 16, it's still about creating your own brand," Pakamani said during the South African send-out speech.
"I was a player at Al-Ahli but I did not play, I hope to be able to play in the quarter-finals and perform well."
"It will be a solid match and I am looking for a positive result that will allow us to qualify for the semi-finals," he said.
Pacamani has played four games with Sun Dunes in the CAF Champions League this season, including three in the group stage.
Pakamani played 15 games with Sun Dunes in the South African league and scored three goals.
