Al-Gouna coach Reza Shehata said he was happy with the victory of the Pyramids team in the Egyptian league.

El Gouna defeated the Pyramids 2-1 and the hosts lost a penalty.

"We have played since the beginning of the match to win and we are focusing on the surprise factor," Shehata told Radio Kalam.

"After the first goal, we were sure to have a chance to win and we felt the confusion of the Pyramids because of the offensive pressure on our players," Shehata said.

"Hamada Sidqi decided, after the first goal, to take advantage of the opportunity and the fatal blow to Pyramids to score another goal: the penalty missed by Jaddo and the goal of Ahmed Yasser Ryan."

Pyramids fell for the second time in the Egyptian league after 23 games and was the only defeat before the match against Ismaili.

"Hamdi is a first-rate player and he has exceptional talent, so we do not tie him to certain instructions," Hamdi said.

"We give Hamdi the freedom to do what he wants, as was the case for Chekabala glamor with Zamalek," he said.

El Gouna scored 26 points after 22 games in ninth place, while Pyramids scored 45 points in second place after 23 games.
