Liverpool defender Virgil van Dyke stressed his team's need to focus on the rest of the league games to win and stay on top.
Van Dyck scored two goals in Liverpool's 5-0 win over Watford on lap 28.
Van Dyck said after the match: "We had a good performance and we won the match from start to finish."
"We can not comment on public opinion or do anything in times of downfall," he said in a statement released by the BBC. "We just have to focus on the rest of the upcoming matches."
"We prepared the game well and we wanted to show the fans that we could play hard throughout the season and we really enjoyed the game."
"I do not worry about anyone else, no matter what happens in the locker room," he said. "I love games."
Liverpool leads the Premier League with 69 points, one more than Manchester City, second.
