Ahli Jeddah's goal against Al Hilal was not enough to qualify for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League.
Al Ahli defeated compatriot Al Hilal 1-0 in the second leg of the 16th AFC Champions League and bade farewell to the leader to advance to the knockout stage after winning the first leg to Ahli Jeddah 4-2.
The only goal of Al Ahli was scored in the 43rd minute by Abdel Fattah Assiri.
Al-Hilal has qualified in the round of 16 to face another Saudi opponent, Al Ittihad Jeddah, who beat Iran's Zob Ahn Isfahan.
In the other match of the western section of the tournament, Qatar's Al Sadd will face Saudi Arabia Al Nasr.
No Saudi club has won the title of the AFC Champions League since 2005, while Al Ittihad had won the title.
