Egyptian handball legend Ahmed El Ahmar sent a message to Egyptian handball juniors who made history by qualifying for the first time at the U-19 World Championship.
The Pharaohs will face Germany at 6 pm Sunday in the final.
In his comments to the International Handball Federation, Al-Ahmar said: "The Egyptians are satisfied with your performance and all those who love handball."
"You represent Egypt well and carry the name of Egypt at the top, like the youth team at the World Cup a few weeks ago," he added.
"We are all behind you and, God willing, we won the final and came back to become the first time the junior team won the World Cup."
Egypt qualified for the final after beating Portugal 41-36, making Egypt the first African and Arab team to qualify for the final.

In the final, Egypt had no trouble beating Slovenia 30-23 before clinching another easy win against Iceland at 35-31 in the quarter-finals.
In the gold quarter, Egypt beat Portugal 41-36 after waking in the second half.
Reaching the final is the best of the history of the Junior World Cup of Egypt, having reached the Golden Square for the first time.
Thus, the common factor for both teams is Hungary and Portugal, Egypt won against both teams, while Germany lost to Portugal and beat Hungary.
