The junior volleyball team managed to qualify for the semi-finals of the World Championship held in Tunisia by winning Belarus 3/0 in the round of 16.
The team is scheduled to meet on Thursday at 20:00 with Italy in the semifinals.
The junior team has qualified for the quarterfinals by beating Nigeria 3-0 in the last 16, while Belarus has qualified with the same result against the Czech Republic.
Egypt qualifying in the round of 16 as first group C thanks to its victory in four games against Germany, Argentina and Japan, to meet Nigeria, fourth group D.
The young team managed to win the first match against Germany, champion of Europe, 3-2, before defeating Argentina 3-1 in the second match, then defeating Japan 2- 3 and Mexico 3-0.
