The organizers of the Venice International Film Festival will present the first man, American director Damien Chazel, with Ryan Gosling at the opening of the festival this year. Jossling, 37, star of Neil Armstrong, the first astronaut to have walked the moon in 1969, will be featured on Aug. 29 as one of the films competing for On the Golden Lion.

The film is the first for Chazel since he's featured the critically acclaimed romantic film La La Land, with Jossling, 2016, and later won six Oscars.
Venice hosts the world's oldest film festival , founded in 1932. The 75th edition of the festival is scheduled between August 29 and September 8, The organizers of the festival will announce the full program of events on July 25.
