For the love of Beirut, a song album that includes a group of international artists, the proceeds of which are attributed to the victims of the huge explosion that occurred in the port of Beirut on August 4, which took left 200 dead and 7000 injured and hundreds of thousands of houses destroyed.
The album was unveiled in the French capital, Paris, and it brings together 30 international artists, and the profits are donated to the Lebanese association “Beitna Baitak”, responsible for rebuilding houses, part of which was destroyed or damaged during of the explosion, according to what was reported by the French newspaper “Le Figaro”.
The initiative responsible for preparing the album took the name of “To the City That Never Dies”, which is the idea of producer Olivier Gasnier Duparc, whose house was destroyed in the explosion.
And singer Yuksek said, “The music will not heal, nor will it rebuild broken walls, but it builds emotion and pushes back tears a bit.”
The songs on the album had two names in Arabic, “Beirut What You Die” and “Gemmayzeh”. As for the rest of the songs, the meaning of their names focused on getting up and not crying, and others.
