The director of the national AIDS program at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Jamal Khamis, has launched a survey of 15,000 people nationwide to investigate any infection of the disease in order to update the data. program and to provide access to a precise proportion of the spread of AIDS in Syria.

Khamis pointed out that the ministry continues to provide free treatment to people living with AIDS, as well as diagnostic, follow-up and counseling services in five counseling centers and seven laboratories spread across several provinces, highlighting the existence a plan for the rehabilitation of laboratories and centers affected by terrorist attacks.
