Syrian striker Omar Khirbin led his team to beat Yemen 1-0 during a friendly match Sunday in Abu Dhabi, capital of the UAE, as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup ™ Cup. 2019 in the United Arab Emirates next January.
Khrebin scored the only goal of his country in the 68th minute of a free kick with a presence of 4,000 spectators, giving the Syrian team a moral boost before embarking on the continental competition .
Syria will participate in the Group B Asian Cup, which also includes Australia, title holder, Palestine and Jordan.
In contrast, the Yemeni team has ranked in Group D alongside Iran, Iraq and Vietnam.
