Gianna Farouk, the national karate player, was crowned gold medalist and first place in the world championship in Japan after defeating her French rivals in the final of the tournament under the weight of 61 kg, the first place in the world championship.
The karate team will participate in the tournament: Ahmed Ashraf, Ali El Sawy, Abdullah Mamdouh, Taha Tarek, Sara Assem, Radwa Sayed, Gianna Farouk, Ferial Ashraf and Yasmin Hamdy.
Karate won 15 different medals at the African Games in Morocco last week.
